The photo on the right is from Platon, a portrait photographer, and the photo on the left is from Bonita Vista student Oshen Pena. Platon takes portraits of well known people, and the photo used is a portrait of Jim Carey. These pictures are very similar because they are both in black and white, they are both looking straight at the camera, and the camera angle makes the object closest to it look bigger than it actually is. The max black in Platon's photo is his clothes and hair, the max white is the background. The max black in Oshen's photo is his hair and the lines on the ball, the max white is the background. Oshen's photo could be better if the window on the left was not in the background. That problem can be fixed if he moved to a wall without anything on it, so that the background was plain white.

Lynn Goldsmith was right in this court case against Andy Warhol because he did not use the 4 principles of fair use. One of the principles is that the photo has to be used for education, however Warhol created the art to make profit. He ended up making more money off of his photo than Goldsmith did with hers. He also should give her a share of the money because although the backrgound is different, it is the exact same photo, the hair, the facial expression, the angle of the photo is exactly the same.
My photo edit on the left was created using the app Picsart on my personal cellphone. The photo on the right shows the two photos side by side. My photo is different than the court case because I was able to use the source photos without getting in trouble. The photos I used were found on Google and are public domain so that I do not get sued. On the other hand, Andy Warhol used Lynn Goldsmith's photo without her permission and made a lot of money. The focal point of my art is the bear and the focal point for both of the other photos is Prince. The photo on the right is from documentary photographer Larry Burrows, and the photo on the left is from Bonita Vista student, Oshen Pena. These photos are very similar because they capture movement, the soldiers dropping down onto the wet land and the players walking on the court. They are both taken at a similar angle, high up peaking down at the people. Oshen's photo could have been better if there was better composition. There are people in the far right that hurt the photo and moment that is trying to be captured.
The photo on the right is a portrait from Mihaela Noroc, famous for "The Atlas of Beauty," and the photo on the left is from Bonita Vista student, Oshen Pena. Both of these are portraits that feature a person looking directly into the camera. Oshen's photo has a person pointing at a piece of art, and Mihaela has a person with a fur jacket. Oshen's photo could be better if the people in the background were removed to make the photo more professional. There is also too much headspace in Oshen's photo compared to the portrait from Mihaela.
The photo on the right is an entry for the Sweetwater DMS in the Nature category, the photo on the left is a nature photo from Bonita Vista student, Oshen Pena. Both of these photos are closeups of different flowers with a very green background making them very similar. The composition, focus, and lighting of Mia's photo are incredible. Oshen's photo could be better if it was taken at a lower angle to get a better shot of the pink flower, and because the dirt and concrete at the bottom of the photo hurts Oshen's photo.
Both of these photos in this blog are from me, but the one on the right was taken 5 months after the photo on the left. The photo on the left was taken on my Iphone 12, but the photo on the right was taken with a real camera using the motion setting. The photo on the right has better focus, lighting, and composition because it was taken on a professional camera. My old photo could have been better if it was less blurry and if it was taken farther away to get the player's whole body in the frame.
The photo on the right is a entry for the Sweetwater DMS in the Documentary/Photojournalism category, and the photo on the left is from Bonita Vista student, Oshen Pena. Both of these photos fit into that category very well and are very similar. They both capture the color and bright lights in the area with a few people to help contrast the photo. Oshen's photo could have been better if there were less people to show off the scenery of Bonita's 2022 Homecoming dance.
The photo on the right is a Sweetwater DMS entry for series, and the photo on the left is from Bonita Vista student, Oshen Pena. Both of these series are of sunsets and are very similar. Neomi has a larger variety of photos compared to the 4 photos Oshen has. The difference between the two is that Neomi's photos are more vibrant, this is mainly because of the sun being more visible compared to Oshen's. Oshen's photos could be better if they were less grainy, and if they had more color to make them more pleasing to the eyes of one.
The photo on the right is an entry for the Sweetwater DMS Digital Manipulation, and the photo on the left is from Bonita Vista student, Oshen Pena. Both of these photos are double exposure with a portrait and a background photo. Isabelle's photo edit was made very well with a black and white portrait and a background photo with lots of color. Oshen's photo could have been better if the portrait oppacity was higher so that the portrait can be seen better. Also, the photo could be fixed so that it is higher resolution, right now the photo is very grainy and the size of the photo is too small.
The photo on the right is a portrait entry for the Sweetwater DMS, and the photo on the left is from Bonita Vista Student, Oshen Pena. Both of these portraits have good composition, focus, and lighting. The background of the entry helps the photo because it adds more color and contrasts well with the orange sweater of the girl in the middle. Oshen's photo could have been better if there was less headspace and if it was taken closer.
